About time for twins
I started time for twins because I lacked advice, guidance, stories and products during my own pregnancy. That is why I have collected it all in one place, in my twin universe.
My name is Signe, I live in a small town outside Kalundborg, in Denmark. Together with my boyfriend, we have Sophia and Naya, identical twin girls from 2019.
During the pregnancy, I found that there was a lack of a place where I could find the products I needed, many brands have a single product and I had to go through many websites and shops to find the things that were right for us. Some things had to be bought second-hand, as they were almost impossible to get hold of, here in Denmark.
We spent a long time researching the market thinly for the best nursing pillows and pushchairs in the right dimensions, and which suited our car, our doors and the terrain we most often had to use the pushchair on. We were looking for good advice to deal with everyday life and how we could make things easier for all of us.
That is why I have started time for twins in February 2023. The idea of this page is to collect a wide selection of the best products, products that myself and other parents of multiples can vouch for. At the same time, I would like to ensure that on this page you can find good advice and help for any concerns you may have – that is why my phone and e-mail are also open to all types of messages, whether you need guidance for a specific product, if there is something you are missing, if you need advice or simply need to talk or talk about an experience.
Stig and I met at a town party in Kalundborg in 2014, we tried to have children for a few years before we got pregnant with our girls. It was a difficult pregnancy, fortunately not everyone is like that. I threw up daily for 20 weeks, had high heart rate and gestational diabetes, I also damaged a nerve which paralyzed my right side of my face for 6 weeks. I was in pain and pretty much confined to the couch for a month and a half before they were born. On the 3rd of August we were going to a wedding at a couple of friends, I had my very large and liquid-filled body put in a dress and we left. I had already promised the bride that I would not give birth in the church – I kept that promise. But shortly after the appetizer I started to get wet, the water had gone. Sophia was born on 4 August at 15.41 and Naya at 16.10. They were born in week 34+4, healthy and fit and so they share a birthday with their father.
